If you’re looking to connect with nature, you’re in the right place. With rugged wilderness on one side and the mighty Pacific on the other, the Tofino area is as natural as it gets. Whether your favourite way to experience nature involves a board, a bike, a boat, or just a sturdy pair of boots, there’s plenty for you on our little peninsula—not to mention the waters and islands surrounding it. And on either end of your adventures, there’s also some really great places to eat and drink. Welcome to Tofino. We think you’ll love it here.

Hiking
One of the best ways to appreciate our epic coastline is from up high. And the best way to get up high? By climbing one of our surrounding mountains. Nearby Cox Cone is accessible by foot (just ask us for directions); for Lone Cone, you’ll need to take a water taxi (trust us, it’s worth it). For more information about hiking and mountain biking in the area, visit our neighbours at Tourism Tofino.

Taste Tofino
For a town this tiny, Tofino has an incredible food and drink culture. Not surprisingly, fish and other seafood—fresh-as-it-gets wild salmon, oysters, and crab (to name a few)—are the stars of many local menus. Need a drink? Our local craft brewery and distillery are both excellent.
Our Recommendations:
